The service entrance cap attaches to a vertical conduit and receives
the open wires / cables from an electrical service drop. Constructed of
copper free solid aluminum the clamp on style of the cap makes for quick
and easy installation. Also known as a "leather-head" the service entrance
cap prevents rainwater from entering the conduit, or raceway, and decreases
insulation damage. Service entrance cap is designed to be used with
corresponding top of E.M.T., Rigid or I.M.C.
conduit either outdoors or indoors. Serves as a connecting point for the
service entrance wires.
